What the app accesses
When you install POD Bundles, you grant it two permissions:
- Read products — the app reads product types so you can choose which products a bundle rule applies to.
- Manage discounts — the app creates and updates the automatic discount that applies your bundle tiers at checkout.
That is the complete list. The app does not request access to orders, customers, customer names, addresses, email addresses, payment details, or any other protected customer data. It cannot read them.
What the app stores
The app stores only what it needs to talk to your store:
- your shop domain (for example
your-store.myshopify.com) - the access token Shopify issues at installation
- your bundle configuration: product types, quantity thresholds, percentages, and your banner appearance settings
No shopper data is stored at any point. Bundle discounts are calculated by Shopify's own checkout infrastructure, not by our server — a shopper's cart never reaches us.
Where the data is stored
- Application server: Fly.io, Frankfurt, Germany
- Database: Neon, AWS region eu-central-1, Frankfurt, Germany
Both are located within the European Union.
How long the data is kept
When you uninstall the app, Shopify notifies us and your shop record and configuration are deleted. We do not keep a copy.
The app also implements Shopify's mandatory data-request, customer-redaction, and shop-redaction notifications. Because the app holds no customer data, a customer data request or redaction request has nothing to return or erase — this is by design, not an omission.
Sharing
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or model training. The only parties involved are the hosting providers named above, acting solely as infrastructure.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Write to . Uninstalling the app deletes your data automatically.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be communicated to installed merchants by email.
